The family members of Vinod Kumar Tiwari, who has recovered from swine flu, claimed that they have not been administered medicines against the disease. The health authorities have urged people not to panic as anti-bodies in the body are capable enough to fight against the deadly virus.
According to
Rakesh Tiwari, brother of Vinod, a teacher in Navodaya School, Banda, the patient was referred to IDH a few days back.
After staying there for nearly three days, his sample was taken on Thursday and he was discharged on the same day. “Vinod was admitted to a private hospital two weeks back with symptoms of swine flu. From there, he was referred to LLR. The doctors admitted him in IDH a few days back. His saliva sample was taken on Thursday, but since he was hale and hearty, the doctors discharged him. He is absolutely fine now,” he said.
The family members are happy that Vinod has recovered. They are worried that the virus may attack them because they have not been administered anti-flu medication. “We haven’t got Tamiflu or any other anti-flu medication. We are afraid that he might pass on this deadly infection to other family members,” Rakesh claimed.
“Vinod belongs to Banda district. The CMO of Banda has been informed. We didn’t know that Vinod is living in the city. We have taken a note of it and do the need full soon,” Dr Yadav said.
“There is no need to panic. The anti-bodies in the body are capable to fight against deadly virus in many cases. The same thing happened with Vinod. He was able to fight against the infection and is doing fine. He has been given medicines that had killed the virus,” the ACMO added.
