Shiraz Hussain, a resident of Matia Burj, Kolkata known for his achievement of inscribing the pages of Quran on aluminium sheets was in the city on Monday to showcase his work to the denizens.

KANPUR: Shiraz Hussain, a resident of Matia Burj, Kolkata known for his achievement of inscribing the pages of Quran on aluminium sheets was in the city on Monday to showcase his work to the denizens. For the extraordinary work done by him, his name was registered in the Limca Book of World Records in May, 2006.
Inspired by a utensil seller, whom Shiraz minutely observed while inscribing names on his customer's vessels marked his accomplishment.

Shiraz while talking to TOI expressed his strong belief in all religions and said, "God is one and we can call him with any name. All the religions of the world teach us about good and to do good for others. My efforts did not go waste and it helped me earning a good name for myself and family."
Sharing his future plans, Shiraz said: "I will be writing reverend books Ramayana, Gita and Bible in the same way. God is one and therefore, should not be looked upon differently by us."
He also expressed that soon the silver coloured Quran will be housed in Salarjung Museum in Hyderabad or in Indira Gandhi Art Gallery, New Delhi where the common masses of the country will get a chance to see this one of its own kind of Quran.
