KANPUR: As many as 38 students were successful in locking the seats of their choice for MBBS and various medical programmes during the ongoing Combined Pre-Medical Test (
CPMT) counselling at Ganesh Shanker Vidyarthi Medical College on Saturday.
Several students faced hardships in the absence of an enquiry counter.
"I am surprised that there is no enquiry counter for the students regarding the counselling process or verification of documents," said Shaily, an aspirant.
CPMT coordinator RP Sharma said that 38 students locked the seats on the fifth day of counselling on Saturday. There will be no counselling on Sunday.
As many as 24 aspirants locked the seats in BMS programme, 12 selected BHMS programme and two selected BUMS course, Sharma said.
He added that 82 candidates between rank 2001 and 6500 were registered. Students ranked from 6501 to 11000 rank will be called for counselling on Monday.
