KANPUR: Taking the non-compliance of court orders seriously, the additional district and sessions judge second of Kanpur Nagar, C M Dixit, on Tuesday issued non-bailable warrant (NBW) against two sub-inspectors and asked the SP of their respective districts to ensure their presence before the court after arresting them.
The presiding officer took a strict view when he came to know that despite the repeated court orders, SI, Vijay Kumar Sharma presently posted as SHO DCR Bulandshahar had not appeared in the court to adduce his evidence in a murder case styled as State vs Lata Chaturvedi.

Issuing the NBW and a notice under section 350 of CrPC, the judge also instructed the prosecution to produce him before the court on October 9, 2009.
The judge took the similar stand in another murder case styled as State vs Lala Pandit and issued NBW and a notice under section 350 of CrPC against SI, B V Chaturvedi, who is presently posted at Kakarbai police station under Jhansi police. The court has fixed October 9, 2009 as next date of hearing.
Undertrial escaped: Wahid, an undertrial, managed to escape from the court compound on Tuesday while he was returning from a hearing.
The incident took place in post-lunch session when Wahid, who is facing five criminal cases including a case under the Gangster Act, was produced before the court of chief metropolitan magistrate (CMM).
While on his way back to the lock-up, Wahid managed to dupe Brahm Prakash, the cop accompanying him, and ran away, along with another undertrial, Shyam Sundar.
The cop raised an alarm and caught Shyam Sundar but Wahid disappeared in the crowd of litigants.
