Cops ordered to register case against doctor
The metropolitan magistrate Xth of Kanpur Nagar, on Friday asked the Kaka Deo police station to register a criminal case against Dr. Anil Jain nepohrologist of a hospital and investigate the matter.
The MM passed the order on complaint of one Prakash Veer Arya a resident of Govind Nagar who urged before the court to register a case against the doctor under Section 406/306/311/427 IPC.
Complainant Arya who is a BJP leader claimed in his complaint filed under Section 156 (3) Cr. P.c. submitted that, he was operated by Dr. Jain for the removal of stones from his kidneys on September 4, 2008 and he had spent around Rs. 1 lakh on that operation. After discharge, in a few days he again suffered some problem and contacted him. Every time he took consultation fee and prescribed medicines.
When he got an ultrasound done, stones were detected besides infection in kidneys, the complainant claimed. When he again contacted to Dr. Jain, he said that, he will not treat him until and unless he deposit Rs. 50,000 as he had to perform a second operation .
The judge after hearing the arguments and going through the papers on record ordered to Kaka Deo police to register a case and investigate the matter.
