Control rooms to ensure fair ULB poll

Kanpur: The Commissionerate Police is all set to operate three control rooms in view of the local body elections so that any complaint related to violation of code of conduct may be redressed without delay. The control rooms are being set up at Naveen Galla Mandi Samiti Naubasta, Captain Sukhwasi Lal Inter College, Ghatampur and Baba Raghunandan Das Inter College, Bilhaur and soon all three will be named. For free, fair and peaceful conduct of the civic body elections, the commissionerate has also deployed a quick reaction team (QRT) at all major intersections and sensitive areas of the city. Each QRT will be equipped with state-of-the-art resources. Mobile numbers are also being issued by the police commissionerate for strict compliance of the code of conduct, so that complaint if any can be lodged by phone call or photo and video. Apart from this, complaints related to violation of model code of conduct can also be registered on the following numbers at the control room set up at the district collectorate.
