Constables misbehave with MLC & devotees
Kanpur: Two constables misbehaved with the devotees at Parmat Temple on late Saturday night. Their medical examination was done on Sunday. The constables identified as Subhash Chandra and Shashank were allegedly found to be involved in an unruly behaviour with the devotees and even with the BJP MLC Arun Pathak, when the latter tried to check them on Saturday night.

MLC Arun Pathak, had gone to Parmat temple to offer prayers late on Saturday night. On duty constables Subhash Chandra and Shashank started misbehaving with him when he tried to stop them from ill-treating the devotees, who had gone for ‘darshan’ and were waiting for their turn in a queue outside the Parmat temple.
While constable Subhash Chandra was caught by the security personnel of the MLC, Shashank, his companion, managed to flee. MLC Pathak, thereafter apprised the Commissioner of Police BP Jogdand about the whole incident. Subsequently, the CP directed his subordinates to investigate the matter and punished the constables accordingly.
The second constable who ran away was traced y the police late at night. ACP Colonelganj, Mohd Akmal Khan, however, said, both the constables were sent to Ursala Hospital late at night for medical examination. “Based on the medical report, a report will be sent for action against both,” ACP added.
