CM’s statement on Gyanvapi is 1-sided: AIMPLB

Kanpur: The founder-member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board Maulana Mohammad Suleman on Tuesday while reacting to chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement with regard to the Gyanvapi issue said here on Tuesday that it is a matter of regret for the CM to give such a statement in the matter of a religious place whose case is sub judice.“The country will be run by the Constitution and not by statements. The CM’s statement is a one-sided statement and it was an attempt to take political advantage in the 2024 elections by dividing people and the society,” the maulana said. “Yogi ji being chief minister of the state should follow the Raj dharma and must give statements in the interest of the society and should not make statements as a priest of a temple. Such a statement is quite a provocative”, he said.tnn
