KANPUR: The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has once again brought a change in the rostering schedule for the Industrial City. The city will now be receiving power for a total of 22 hours.
For this purpose, Kesco has been instructed to implement the new rostering schedule from June 15. The decision to this effect was made a few days back in a meeting held at UPPCL office in Lucknow where it was decided that the new rostering schedule will be made available for the cities of Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi.

A senior UPPCL official informed TOI that while Allahabad and Varanasi will be provided 24 hours of power supply, Kanpur will be given 22 hours each day. It was in this regard that from Wednesday, the city witnessed power rostering from 9 am to 11 am.
A K S Chauhan, Kesco spokesperson, said that the new rostering timing has been put into implementation from Wednesday and added that the new schedule will remain into effect till June 30.
