Chicken pox afflicts several children

KANPUR: Chicken-pox has spread in Dev Brahmapur village in Malasa block of Ramabai Nagar district. Several children have fallen prey to the disease.
Bablu, Guddu, Sonu, Mangal, Rita, Savita, Lakshmi and Krishna are suffering from high fever since the past one week and undergoing treatment in the community health centre in Rurgaon. Sudhi, Kanchan, Sita, Rohit, Anjali and Rashmi are yet to receive any medical aid.
Chief medical officer SP Tripathi said that a team headed by a deputy CMO is camping at the Dev Brahmapur village and preventive measures are being taken.
