Police have filed a charge-sheet in the double murder case wherein a husband-wife duo were allegedly hacked to death by their adopted daughter and her lover's brother in the City's Barra-2 Yadav Market area.

KANPUR: Police have filed a charge-sheet in the double murder case wherein a husband-wife duo were allegedly hacked to death by their adopted daughter and her lover's brother in the City's Barra-2 Yadav Market area.
During investigations, it came to fore that the couple's adopted daughter and her alleged lover were the main conspirators.
The lover's real brother had slit the couple's throat at the behest of the girl and her lover.

Munna Lal Uttam (60) and his wife Raj Devi (58), residents of Barra-II EWS Colony, were hacked to death on the night of July 4.
The police arrested Munna's adopted daughter Komal, her lover Rahul (Army personnel) and Rahul's brother Rohit and sent them to jail.
The mastermind of the conspiracy was Rahul Uttam, assistant ambulance operator in Military Intelligence in Goa and his alleged lover Komal, police claimed.
"In greed of property, Komal, along with Rohit, carried out the crime at the behest of Rahul," police further said.
The investigation revealed that Komal also had a relationship with Rohit.

Since then, all the three accused are in jail.
Inspector Barra Manvendra Singh said that a charge-sheet has been filed in the court against the three accused.
Sufficient evidence, including scientific evidence, has been collected against the three during the investigation, he said.
“Rahul had conspired the double murder plot and Komal and Rohit executed the crime at their behest", the insector said.
