Bride refused to marry man with limp
Kanpur:A woman in Chaupunna area of Kannauj refused to marry a man, saying he was limping because of a broken leg.
The groom, Harveer, a native of Dayapur village of Firozabad, was shocked after his would-be-bride Reena refused to marry him citing his broken leg at the marriage altar in Indira Nagar locality of Chaupunna in Kannauj on Wednesday.

According to him, things were fine on Wednesday during the rituals related to marriage but suddenly someone told Reena that Harveer was limping due to broken leg and that a steel rod was inserted following a surgery. The groom’s family thereafter approached the police for help.
“We then counselled them that the police cannot do anything if the girl has refused to marry,” the officer added.
The upset groom had to return empty-handed along with the marriage party.
This was not the first time such an incident has been reported from the region. Earlier, several brides refused to marry drunken, dark-complexioned, short-statured and mentally unstable grooms.
