Body of woman found hanging

KANPUR: A woman identified as Rama Gupta, wife of Govind Gupta, was found hanging from the ceiling in her home in Barra-7 on Thursday.
Her family members had alleged that it is a case of dowry harassment and murder.
According to Rama's kin, her legs were bent, indicating she had been hung after being killed and the bed was at a strange angle.
A police official said that the investigation is underway and if it is a murder, a dowry death case will be registered after the post-mortem examination report.
Elsewhere, the police recovered a decomposed body of a man identified as Jagdish, who was reportedly missing under mysterious circumstances from his house in Kalyanpur since March 2.
