BJP leaders inspect venue, appoint MP Ramesh Awasthi as convener of CM's Kanpur rally

In preparation for Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s public meeting at Darshan Purwa Central Park on November 9 in Kanpur, senior leaders, including UP finance minister Suresh Khanna, MP Ramesh Awasthi, BJP Kanpur-Bundelkhand region president Prakash Pal, state general secretary Anoop Gupta, legislative council member Manvendra Singh, and district president Deepu Pandey, conducted a site inspection with administrative officials.

Following the visit, the leaders held a meeting to discuss event logistics and appointed MP Ramesh Awasthi as the convener for the public gathering. His responsibilities include overseeing the organization of the event and ensuring smooth communication of the party's policies.

Awasthi’s leadership in the 2024 Lok Sabha election drew attention at state and national levels. His role as convener is seen as integral to the BJP’s efforts in the upcoming Sisamau Assembly by-election.

At the meeting, it was also decided that the route from the helipad to the event site would be decorated with BJP flags.
