Kanpur: The special investigation team probing the Bikru massacre case in which eight policemen were ambushed and killed by gangster

and his aides here on the night of July 2, 2020, has recommended sacking of former station house officer of Chaubepur police station Vinay Tiwari and beat in-charge and S-I KK Sharma from service for their role in the matter.
SIT’s investigating officer additional commissioner of police (ACP) Anand Kulkarni on Thursday said, “The investigation report in the case was submitted to the government on Wednesday. It has been decided to sack both the policemen.”
IG Range Kanpur, Prashant Kumar said that action has been recommended after the allegations against both of them were proved in the departmental inquiry.
Kanpur police had arrested Vinay Tiwari and KK Sharma for leaking information about the police movement to the history-sheeter Vikas Dubey before the raid.
