Apollo Club humble Crazy Cricket Club by 106 runs

Kanpur: Apollo Club beat Crazy Cricket Club by 106 runs in a Kanpur Super Premier League (KSPL) match being played at the MCC ground in Banthar under flood lights.
Apollo Club, after being invited to bat, scored 8 for 199 runs in 20 overs with the help of Abdul Rahman's fine knock of 96 runs. Thereafter they wrapped the innings of Crazy Cricket Club on mere 93 runs in 17.3 overs.Fantastic XI, in another match, defeated Tgs Titans by 14 runs.

Bajpai memorial cricket: South Legend drubbed Race Polymers by 3 wickets in late JC Bajpai memorial under-16 cricket tournament being played at the Guru Gobind Singh stadium. Race Polymers, batting first, scored 109 runs and the South Legend hit the required 113 runs for the loss of 7 wickets Jayesh was adjudged as man of the match as he captured 3 wickets without conceding any run in 3 overs.

Chess: As many as 45 players of the state will participate in the UP state-level senior women chess championship to be held at Doon International School here from June 8. According to Krishna Chauhan, principal of the host school, around 21 players are coming from other districts such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Jhansi etc and the remaining are from Kanpur Nagar.
