Aditya Pandey, former BSP MLA and patron of Brahmin Chetna Manch, who had joined the BJP in 2012, recently hogged limelight when he announced that he would install the statue of slain don Sriprakash Shukla.
Pandey, who donated a major portion of land at his ancestral village, had then specifically said, "Sriprakash Shukla fought with mafias and bahubalis of the state for the cause of the community and is considered our icon. Hence, we have decided to install his statue".
