Over 1500 students of nearly 80 colleges who had come to participate in Antaragni-2012 at IIT-Kanpur left for their hometowns on Monday. Many of them had left the campus on Sunday evening.

KANPUR: Over 1500 students of nearly 80 colleges who had come to participate in Antaragni-2012 at IIT-Kanpur left for their hometowns on Monday. Many of them had left the campus on Sunday evening.
On the last day of Antaragni on Sunday, Chandramani Shukla of IIT-Kanpur and Tanvi Gupta were chosen Mr and Miss Antaragni. The runners-up were Ishan Tripathi of Babu Banarasi Das College, Lucknow and Shrutika Nagpal from Shahid Sukhdev College of Business Studies, New Delhi.

The festivities ended with the blazing performance by Blitzkrieg. Shankar Madhavan started the show with a tribute to the Gods. He then moved on to sing some of his famous hits from Dil Chahta Hai, Rock On, Taare Zameen Par etc. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy were supported by a talented core band and some gifted support artists like Anushka Mani, Rasika and Ranjan. With the audience interacting and enjoying every bit of the show, it reached its climax with the trademark 'breathless' performance by Shankar. Finally, the artists bowed out with a tribute to the spirit of nationalism in the form of 'Suno zor se duniya waalo'.
Director's Cut was showcased on the last day. Soundtrack, the story of young DJ Ronak Kaul for whom music is life, was screened. Neerav Ghosh, a promising director, was also present for an interactive session.
