All 10 CHCs of Kanpur get Kayakalp award
Kanpur: In a remarkable achievement in health sector, all ten Community Health Centres (CHCs) of Kanpur district were selected for the Kayakalp award 2023-24. Each of these CHCs will receive a prize money of Rs one lakh, with 75% of the prize money to be allocated towards the strengthening of infrastructure.Chief medical officer Alok Ranjan congratulated the health workers and motivated them to strive for more accolades in the future. According to the communique received from the Mission Director, 425 CHCs across the state, including all the CHCs of Kanpur district, have been honoured with this award, said the CMO. The reward amount received can be utilized with 25% of the sum designated for incentives and rewards for the employees. The CMO further highlighted that among all the CHCs, CHC Bhitargaon bagged the top position in the district and 23rd position in the state, garnering 89.07% score. CHC Sarsaul got the second spot with 84.86% score, while CHC Kalyanpur was on the third position with 83.29% points.Additional chief medical officer (ACMO) and nodal officer Ramit Rastogi said that the primary objective of Kayakalp and NQUAS was to recognize and encourage public health facilities that demonstrate exceptional adherence to standard protocols for cleanliness and infection control. District consultant of Kayakalp Arif Beg elaborated that the CHCs were evaluated on parameters including infection control, quality of services, and cleanliness. CHCs that underwent evaluation and secured more than 70% score were selected for this award.
