KANPUR: In a damage control exercise, members of
Samajwadi Secular Morcha (SMM) on Tuesday night put up new fresh banners and posters carrying photo of SP patriarch
Mulayam Singh Yadav in Etawah.
Mulayam's photo was found to be missing from Morcha's earlier posters. However, SSM leaders had denied any ill-will and blamed printing press for the error.
To recall, the posters and banners, were put up at SSP Crossing in Etawah, that carried photos of SSM chief and Mulayam's brother Shivpal Yadav, but those of SP patriarch were missing.
The posters also had pictures of former SP leader and twice MP and one-time MLA Raghuraj Singh Shakya, former district president of Mulayam Singh Youth Brigade Farhan Shakil and former SP minister Ram Sewak Yadav and other Morcha members.
The posters put up by SSM well-wishers inviting people to become a part of the
Vishal Gandhi Jayanti Yatra, to be taken out to mark
Gandhi Jayanti in Etawah on October 2. "We have now put up posters and banners with picture of Neta Ji (Mulayam). Earlier, Neta Ji's picture was mistakenly omitted by the printing press. We have also asked the Morcha members to remove such posters that didnt carry picture of Neta Ji," former district president of Mulayam Singh Youth Brigade Farhan Shakil told TOI on Tuesday.
