Adarsh helps KDMA sail into finals of U-15 cricket
Kanpur. Adarsh Singh’s fine performance (70 runs and 2 wickets) helped KDMA beat Khandekar Cricket Academy by 7 runs in the semi-final of U-15 cricket league held played here on Sapru ground on Friday.
KDMA, after being invited to bat first, posted a total of 196 runs in 40 overs. Opener Adarsh Singh hit the highest 70 runs plundering 10 hits to the fence. Nikhil Yadav contributed 46 runs. For Khandekar Academy, Yash Bajpai bagged 4 wickets. Khandekar Academy, in reply collected 189 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Abhishek Jaiswal and Md Musahid Khan contributed 53 and 33 runs. For KDMA Rohit Yadav, Adarsh Singh and Akhilesh Singh all bagged two wickets.
In another semi-final match, the host Kanpur South Academy drubbed Kapil Coaching Centre by 6 wickets. Kapil Coaching Centre electing to bat first scored 135 for 9 in 40 overs. Aryan Mishra hit unbeaten 30 runs for his side. Apoorva and Tirthraj both scalped 2 wickets each.
Kanpur South Academy, in response, hit required 140 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Prince Car and Rahul singh chipped 48 and unbeaten 52 runs, respectively.
