4 killed, 1 injured in accident on Agra-Lucknow E-way near Etawah

KANPUR: Four persons were killed and another was critically injured when an Alto car crashed into a truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Etawah's Usrahar area on Saturday morning.
Police said that five persons, including driver of the car, were on way to Varanasi from Delhi, when their car rammed into a stationary truck in Karampur Kauwa village of Usrahar area on Agra-Lucknow Expressway.

Police have identified the deceased as Arun Sinha, assistant statistics officer, and a native of Sheet Nagar colony in Shivpuri locality of Varanasi, his wife Rekha, their son Amit Sinha and Ravindra Vishwakarma (driver).
Arun's daughter Shweta, who has sustained serious injuries, has been admitted to Saifai Medical University in Etawah.
"While Arun and three other occupants, including driver of the car died on the spot, his daughter identified as Shweta, suffered injuries and has been admitted to Saifai Medical university in a critical condition," said a police official.
According to deputy SP (Saifai) M Singh, "Five persons including driver travelling in a car hailed from Varanasi. They were on their way to Varanasi from Delhi this morning, when the mishap occurred in Karampur Kauwa village of Usrahar area on Agra-Lucknow Expressway. Their family members have been informed about the tragedy. The bodies were shifted to mortuary for postmortem. Further investigations are underway in this regard."
