35-year-oldman beaten to death

Kanpur: A 35-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death over old enmity in Eidgah area under the limits of Colonelganj police station on Sunday evening. The police said that the incident was the fallout of a parking dispute which took place about two years ago. The accused are victim Sanjiv Prasad’s neighbours and on Sunday evening dragged him from the house over the same issue and killed him by hitting a rod on his head. After committing the crime, the accused fled.Originally, Sanjiv, was a native of Hussainganj village of Siwan district in Bihar, and used to work as a labourer in Kanpur. He is survived by wife Rekha and two children Raunak and Rashi. The family has been living in Colonelganj’s Eidgah area for the last nearly 20 years.The locals of the area informed the police. On this ACP Colonelganj Mohd Akmal Khan police station in-charge Ratnesh Kumar Singh reached the spot along with the forensic team. The police swung into action and arrested the accused -Ramkumar, his brother Ashok, nephew Abhishek, a woman of their family, while other family members fled from the house.Sheetal, niece of the deceased, filed a complaint against ten people . ACP said that four people have been arrested after registration of an FIR against ten people on the complaint of Sheetal, the niece of the deceased. “Two teams have been formed in search of other accused,” said ACP further.
