3 sentenced to life imprisonment in murder case
Kanpur: Additional sessions judge, Kanpur Nagar Ram Avtar Prasad on Friday convicted three accused to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 on each for committing murder of a youth.
The convicted persons were identified as Abhishek Yadav, Nitin Pasi and Ankur Solanki.
The ADGC stated that the incident occurred on Feb 17, 2012, while the complaint was lodged by Ashok Singh, a resident of Satyam Vihar at Kalyanpur police station. He received information that some people had shot Abhishek Chauhan near Maharana Pratap Education Centre School. A dispute had occurred at Munna tea stall, and the opposing party shot him, leaving him in a pool of blood. He was rushed to the Regency hospital for treatment, where Abhishek succumbed to his injuries the following day.
ADGC said that during the trial, prosecution presented 13 witnesses. The court, after examining the evidence on record and arguments, said that as Abhishek Chauhan was shot by the accused, consequently, they are being sentenced to life imprisonment. tnn
