10 booked for civic worker’s murder in Kanpur

KANPUR: Two days after the civic worker’s murder in Govind Nagar Kachi Basti area, the police booked ten persons including four brothers on Thursday.
The 35-year-old civic worker was murdered following a dispute with local hoodlums of the area.
Brother of the deceased had filed a case against 10 accused including four brothers and their uncle under various IPC sections.
The police detained eight accused till Thursday morning, while the main accused including a man and his nephew are absconding. Police station in-charge Rohit Tiwari said that eight accused have been detained and the police team is raiding the possible hideouts in search of the main accused including a man and his nephew. They will be arrested soon.
