Theft bid at shop of CM’s brother

Jodhpur: Barely two days after the visit of the ADGP (law and order) to review the law and order situation in Jodhpur, burglars attempted theft at the shop of CM Ashok Gehlot’s brother’s shop at Paota Circle on Friday night.The burglars, however, could not break into the shop and fled from the spot, but the incident exposed the ill-preparedness of the police in preventing such incidents at night.According to Mahamandir police SHO Prem Dan Ratnu, the CM'’ brother Agarsen Gehlot has an agriculture shop at Paota circle near the bus station.“Police received information on Saturday morning that the shutter of a shop, Anupam Agencies, had been tampered with. The burglars bent the base of the shutter and tried to enter the shop, but there was another gate of iron grill next to it, which they failed to breach and fled,” said Ratnu.The incident gains significance as Paota Circle is the place where three students had bluffed an eloping minor couple in July in the name of help and had gang-raped the girl.

Burglars steal over 18k from 2 shops

Unidentified masked men broke into two locked shops in Indore, stealing cash and other items. The police have received complaints and are investigating the crime scene with forensic experts. The stolen items include perfumes, air fresheners, hand wash, liquid detergent, and cash. The incident was captured on CCTV footage, and the police are working to identify the culprits. The investigation is ongoing.

Fish shop theft solved

The Mysuru police have successfully solved a burglary case involving an aquarium fish shop within two weeks. The shop's owner had reported that Rs 11.5 lakh had been stolen from the shop on August 27. The police arrested one of the shop's employees and a former employee who had collaborated to carry out the burglary. They managed to recover Rs 9.2 lakh from the suspects.
