Jodhpur: State Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra said here on Sunday that an hour before Bhajan Lal Sharma’s name emereged as the new chief minister, Sharma was looking after arrangements of food and tents.
“A slip came from Delhi and Sharma’s name sprang up as the chief minster. An hour before the ‘parchi’ came, Sharma was attending to arrangements of food and tents of the event,” said Dotasra.
He said that Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was to become the chief minister of the state, but a slip came from Delhi and an unknown person emerged as the CM.
Dotasara was in Jodhpur along with party’s state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and leader of opposition Tikaram Jully to address party workers. Taking a dig at the chief minister, Dotasara said that even now Sharma has to wait for a ‘slip’ from Delhi to arrive to take any decision.
Dotasra accused the BJP of playing with the emotions of people and rousing religious frenzy. He slammed the Modi government for not fulfilling its promises even in 10 years and leaving lakhs of youth wandering around unemployed. Talking about preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, Dotasara said the Congres will win 10-15 seats in the state.
