Rohet tehsildar suspended for ‘friendship’ offer to colleague

JODHPUR: The revenue board on Friday suspended Rohet tehsildar following a complaint by a lady patwari saying that he proposed for friendship. A probe has been initiated in the matter, until then his headquarters will be Ajmer.

According to the information, a woman patwari of Rohet tehsil in Pali district had complained to the SDM and district magistrate that tehsildar of Rohet, Babu Singh Rajpurohit had been sending her messages insisting for friendship with him.

Initially, she tried to avoid it but when the messages continued, she first complained to the SDM Rohet and then to the district magistrate of Pali on Thursday.

Rajpurohit, who had recently assumed the charge of tehsildar of Rohet, however, has denied the allegations terming them baseless and biased.
