JODHPUR: Taking a dig at the absence of CM Ashok Gehlot at the launch of government projects worth Rs 5,000 crore in his home town here on Thursday, PM Narendra Modi claimed that Gehlot was 'convinced' of BJP coming to power in Rajasthan in the upcoming assembly elections.
He was speaking at the third BJP rally held within two weeks in the state that goes to polls later this year.

"Unko Modi pe itna bharosa hai. Aur isliye unko laga ki arre bhai Modi aa rahe hain to bas ho jayega. Aur mai bhi unko kehta hun, aap vishram kijiye, ab hum samhal lenge (He has so much confidence in Modi. He felt that Modi is coming, works will be done. And I am also telling him that you take rest, we will take care of everything)," the PM said, addressing a huge public gathering, attended also by former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, at the city's Ravan-ka-Chabutra ground, part of Sardarpura locality and Gehlot's constituency.
Earlier, Modi flagged off two trains, dedicated IIT Jodhpur campus to the nation, inaugurated a trauma centre at AIIMS, Jodhpur, a new terminal at Jodhpur Civil Airport, and some road projects.
At the public rally, Modi called upon the people to bring BJP back to power to take Jodhpur to the top in the development chart. He accused the Congress government of non-cooperation in executing the Jal Jeevan Mission projects to provide tap water to every household.
"Some 10 crore new families have been given water pipeline connections in the entire country, but the Congress government in Rajasthan is slowing down the work and creating hurdles," he said, claiming corruption was rampant even in water projects.

‘Truth of red diary will be out when BJP wins power’
He alleged that criminal gang wars were happening in broad daylight in Jodhpur known for peace, making the city unsafe for people. “A businessman's son was kidnapped and brutally killed. A Congress MLA says that she is not safe. Atrocities against women and Dalits have also shot up,” he said, alleging that the state topped in corruption and riots in five years of bad governance.
He said that the truth of the ‘red diary’ would come out when people bring BJP to power and slammed the state government for ruining the future of youth through the “paper leak mafia”. He said India's voice was being heard all over the world today and that the Congress had a problem with it.
