Jodhpur: The city police solved a blind murder case on Monday by arresting a 32-year-old man who allegedly killed an elderly woman because she had objected to his affair with her younger daughter-in-law.
The accused, Rahul Jangid, killed Santosh Kanwar (72) by attacking her with a sharp object, said DSP (West) Rajesh Kumar Yadav. Kanwar’s body was found in her house at Ashirvad Nano Colony under Boranada police station on March 7 afternoon.
“Jangid and the younger daughter-in-law of the victim worked at the same factory.
Jangid frequently met with the woman, Mona Kanwar. The victim had once raised an objection when she saw her and Jangid together,” said Yadav. tnn
