IIT-Jodhpur makes device for indoor air

Jodhpur: IIT-Jodhpur has developed a device for good indoor air quality. The device deactivates more than 99.99% of harmful pathogens and provides quality indoor air. The research on it was initiated during Covid-19 pandemic to disinfect indoor environment. Ram Prakash, professor at the Physics department, said, “After hard work of three years we finally came up with the Novel CODE-based indoor air sterilisers which will soon be available in the market for commercial use.”The professor added that the developed device is unique with multiple advantages and will be extremely useful for hospitals to reduce cross contamination. It will also help to maintain clean air in the indoors of public places.He said that long living pathogens cannot be effectively dealt with by available indoor air purifiers. TNN
