Jodhpur: Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Friday alleged that chief minister Ashok Gehlot was derailing investigation in Sanjeevani Credit Cooperative Society case.
He said neither has SOG been able to wrap up the probe in over four years’ investigation nor is the matter being transferred to CBI. MP and Gujarat have already transferred the matter to CBI for investigation, he said.
“Today, investors of Sahara are receiving their money. The bill was passed in Parliament to ensure they get their money back. But the process is hampered in Rajasthan. CBI has to probe the matter of multi-state credit cooperative societies, but Gehlot is not doing so in Rajasthan. He is trying to shield these societies,” he alleged.
Shekhawat said that there were 14 such societies which have cheated millions of depositors.
“But Gehlot does not mention them except Sanjeevani just in order to drag me into it,” he claimed.
