Five skulls found in Pali hamlet

district when five human skulls were

found

on Monday morning. All of them were placed closely in a row on the wall of a cremation ground.


Police rushed to the spot after being notified and took the skulls in its possession for their examination to ascertain their gender and age.

“We have taken the skulls in our possession and arranged for them to be sent to the laboratory for more details. We have also initiated investigation into the matter and who could be behind this incident and where were the skulls brought from,” said Jyoti Swaroop Sharma, ASP (Pali).

Police and the people of the village earlier thought that they belonged to the cremation ground and would have been dug out from there by some person or any animal, but later after the brief inquiry, they did not find even a single tomb dug.

“We also inquired from the administrators of the cremation ground on the wall of which these skulls were found. But we did not find any evidence of any tomb being dug out suggesting that they were from that cremation ground,” said Sharma.

On Monday morning, some women passing by the cremation ground of the village Jeevand Khurd saw five human skulls placed in a row on the wall of the cremation ground. Soon the news spread in the village and the villagers, both inquisitive and panicked, rushed to the spot.

The villagers first checked the burial ground assuming that somebody might have dug them out from there and on not finding any clue informed the police .

Some villagers also thought that some occultist might have placed these skulls there after having used them. But police is yet to reach any conclusion.
