Jodhpur: Police on Friday exhumed bodies of a woman and her daughter from an agricultural field at Bhalelav village in Pali district. After bodies were exhumed, the police began a search operation for the woman’s son who allegedly killed both of them and buried them in pits on Holi (March 25). According to police, the accused identified as Suresh Choudhary had already planned to eliminate his mother Pani Devi (55) and sister Kavita (30).
On Holi, Suresh got large pits dug in four corners of the field using excavators.
He called up his elder brother Ramesh, who lives in Ahmedabad, and told him that he had got the pits dug in the field to install light poles. Police said that both Devi and Kavita were seen last on the evening of Holi. It is suspected that on the night of Holi, Suresh attacked both of them with a sharp weapon, killed them and buried them in pits, police said.
SP (Pali) Chunaram Jat said that son of the deceased Ramesh has given a report of the murder of his mother and sister, in which he has accused his younger brother, Suresh, of killing them and hiding the body in a pit. tnn
