JODHPUR: Receding floodwater is leaving behind human bodies in Jalore. A day after three bodies were found in a collapsed shack on a farm in Bishangarh, another body was found stuck in shrubs at Bhavrani village on Thursday. The body was identified as that of Manohar Singh, 45, who had reportedly been washed away in rain three days back. Search operations had failed to trace him.
"An
NDRF team engaged in rescue operation found Singh's body stuck shrubs about 4 km away from the village," said Prabhu Swami, a team leader of NDRF.
Earlier, three members of a family were found dead under the debris of a shack at Mudy village under Bishangarh police station. SHO Babulal of Bishangarh police station said the incident came to light when a shepherd passing by the farm on Tuesday evening sensed a foul smell emanating from the collapsed shack. "Upon checking, he found three people buried under the debris and informed us. We reached the spot and extracted the bodies, which were highly decomposed," said Babulal.
