Lot of scope for auto sector in Jamshedpur: Minister
JAMSHEDPUR: Union minister for heavy industries Mahendra Nath Pandey during his Jamshedpur visit said the place has great scope for setting automobile and manufacturing plants.
The minister said the Narendra Modi government under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme is trying to encourage new entrepreneurs to launch new ventures. He added that under this scheme, the government has earmarked Rs 26,800 crore to help set up new automobile units.
Talking about the Tata Motors ancillary units in the Adityapur industrial belt, Pandey said for long several businessmen had demanded that assistance should be provided to set up automobile manufacturing units here.

Keeping in mind such demands, the Centre had extended its helping hand to those who wanted it for setting up new business ventures.
He said the place already has a lot of skilled people who want to grab this opportunity.
The minister added that the Centre is willing to give economic and any other kind of support to those who want to manufacture their goods in India.
