Ghulam Hussain and delegation from the Sunni community led by vice-president, BJP Ladakh, Nazir Ahmed called on the lieutenant governor of Ladakh,

on Monday and apprised him of issues and concerns of people of their area.
Nambardar Thasgam
raised several issues related to the development of Thasgam in Drass sub-division, including changing the alignment of the bandobasti/settlement land to be used for the construction of the national highway; sanctioning of a Govt Higher Secondary School; developing sports infrastructure such as ice hockey rink and gondola in the village; ATM facilities and launching of a special Army recruitment drive for the unemployed youth from Drass.
Other demands raised during the meeting were a dedicated bus service for the people between Kargil and Thasgam; upgradation of the Medical Sub Center to Community Health Center (CHC); installation of mobile towers to improve telecommunication and internet connectivity and construction of an irrigation facilities etc.
A delegation from the Sunni community led by vice-president, BJP Ladakh, Nazir Ahmed, raised the need for the representation of Sunni community at Hill Council Leh for the benefit of their people.
Lieutenant Governor Mr Mathur gave a patient hearing to the visitors and assured them that the issues projected by them would be looked into earnestly for their redressal on priority.
