Terror activities: State Investigation Units produce challan, initiate letter rogatory in related cases
JAMMU: In order to investigate the cases related to terror and other unlawful activities, the State Investigation Units (SIU) in the Union Territory of J&K, initiated the process of Letter Rogatory (LR) through the CIO of the case Dy SP PC Kishtwar while DySP PC Kathua produced challan before the Court of NIA Jammu against two terrorist involved in unlawful activities to flourish the terrorist activities in UT of J&K.
The official spokesman said, "The SIU Jammu under the supervision of DIG SIU Jammu Zone has launched a special drive to take the anti-national elements (Terrorists) to task by firstly getting Non Bailable Warrant (NBA) against the 13 terrorists namely Shahnawaz Kanth alias Munna alias Umer of Hullar, Kishtwar, Nayeem Ahmed alias Amirof Near Jamia Masjid, Kishtwar, Mohammad Iqbal alias BilaI of Near Kichloo Market, Kishtwar, Shahnawaz alias Nayeem of Chirool Padyarna, Javid Hussain Giri alias Muzamil of Kundali Pochal, Bashir Ahmed Mughal of Jugna Keshwan, Gazi-ul-Din of Jugna, Keshwan, Sattar Din alias Rajab alias Saifullah of Jugna Keshwan, Imtiyaz Ahmed alias Dawood of Banderna, Kishtwar, Shabir Ahmed of Kither Bonjwah, Mohd Rafiq Keen of Patnazi Bonjwah, Muzaffer Ahmed of Semna Colony Zewar Kishtwar and Azad Hussain of Affani Padder.
"Now the process of letter Rogatory has been initiated through the CIO of the case Dy. SP PC Kishtwar," Vishal Sharma, he added.
Official spoksperson said, "Besides, the CIO Dy.SP PC Kathua Tilak Raj Bhardwaj produced challan before the Court of NIA Jammu against two terrorists namely Zakir Hussain Bhat alias Umar Farooq of Near Govt. Primary School Malad, Tehsil Lohai Malhar, District Kathua and Gulam Farid alias Farid Bhai of Bhimber Pakistan who were involved in unlawful activities to flourish the terrorist activities in UT of J&K."
"Notably, during the onset of the terrorism in the J&K, a large number of terrorists have crossed over to Pakistan and are now actively involved in reviving terrorism in J&K by either sending arms and ammunition through drones or by recruiting new youth through social media and other modes of communication."
SIU spoksperson added that DIG SIU Jammu has impressed upon all his CIOs to investigate every case in a thorough and professional manner so that all the terrorists wanted in their cases could be arrested and those who have sneaked into Pakistan and are actively waging war against the country can be cornered either by issuing red notice through Inter-pol or by issuing Letter Rogatory (LR) through the Court of law.
Further, more challans against the terrorist involved in UAPA cases of SIU Jammu Zone are expected to be produced before the Court of Law in a couple of weeks time
