China border status quo with high alert: Army

JAMMU: Status quo with China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is being maintained even as talks are on at many levels and troops are at a high level of preparedness, Northern Command Army Commander (NAC) Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi said Tuesday. Addressing a rally of veterans here, Dwivedi also referred to the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan.

He said while the LOC ceasefire holds, there have been some infiltration attempts but they have been foiled.

“The situation is largely under control and efforts are on to stop such incidents completely,” Dwivedi added.
