Another accused Trilok Singh was arrested late Wednesday night. The main accused, the ex-fiance Pushpendra Singh, had been arrested earlier. Police are in search of others accused of the abduction by the woman's family, said SP Vikas Sangwan.
The marriage of the rescued woman was held at the Arya Samaj temple in Jodhpur on Monday, from where she went to her in-laws' house at Rajmathai with her husband.
SP Sangwan said that a case had been lodged against the accused under IPS sections 323, 354, 366, 341 and 143. Efforts were being made to arrest the remaining accused and the vehicle used for the abduction, he said. In the video that was shot of the abductor walking around a fire carrying the woman in his arms, a woman was also seen and she will also be arrested once her identity is ascertained, the SP said. Meanwhile the state women commission has sought a factual report on the matter from the district SP within 7 days.
