Woman kills husband with help of her lover in Rajasthan, sets his body on fire

A 42-year-old woman and her 30-year-old lover have been arrested for allegedly murdering her husband and setting his body on fire in Jaipur. The perpetrators conspired to kill the victim, a vegetable vendor, and burned his body in a forest area, attempting to cover their tracks.

JAIPUR: A 42-year-old woman was arrested along with her 30-year-old paramour Wednesday for allegedly killing her husband and setting his body on fire to hide evidence.DCP (South) Digant Anand said the two accused, Gopali Devi, a resident of Sanganer, and her lover Deendayal Kushwaha, a native of Sawai Madhopur who was currently living in Muhana, acted in collusion to perpetrate the crime. The duo took the body of the victim, Dhanna Lal Saini, a vegetable vendor, to a forest in Muhana police station area and set it on fire there, the DCP said at a presser.After a burnt body was found near Ring Road on March16, police began an investigation despite information being scant and the incident occurring in an isolated area."Gopali Devi and her lover, Kushwaha, conspired to murder him. They were planning to flee but were arrested before they could do so. During interrogation, Devi admitted that she was in a relationship with Kushwaha for several years and used to deceive her husband by claiming she worked at a clothing shop," Anand said.
