Woman gang-raped by five youths in Alwar

ALWAR: A Dalit woman travelling with her husband was waylaid by five accused who took turns to rape her before thrashing her husband. The accused recorded a video of the act which went viral on Monday even as locals alleged police inaction in apprehending the accused.
Such was the terror of the accused, who belong to the influential families of the region, that the survivor and her husband kept silent for days and did not file a complaint till Thursday even though the incident took place on April 26.

While Alwar police has booked the accused for gang-rape and SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, none of the accused have been arrested so far.
As per the complaint, the woman was riding pillion on her husband’s bike and they were travelling through a secluded road when the five accused approached the couple and asked the man to stop the bike. They took the couple behind a marooned dirt track behind a mountain where they took turns to rape the woman even as her helpless husband was threatened to remain silent.
Alwar SP Rajiv Pachar said that an FIR was registered against the five accused and police teams are trying to nab them.
