NEW DELHI: A windmill caught fire in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district due to intense heat wave that has been affecting the region.
The extreme temperatures, reaching up to 50°C (122°F), caused the wind mill to ignite unexpectedly.
The state has been grappling with severe heat wave, with temperatures consistently reaching record highs. The scorching weather has not only affected the windmills but has also had a significant impact on the daily lives of residents in the area.
As a precautionary measure, maintenance crews are now conducting thorough inspections of other wind mills in the region.
