‘I am not a brand-conscious person’
A self-confessed shopaholic, Dipika says, “Whenever I am in Jaipur, a visit to Bapu Bazar is a must. Before going to Jaipur, I make a long list of things that I love picking up from the city. I am quite fond of Sanganeri block-printed bedsheets and Jaipuri razai. They are soft, smooth and comfortable. I have also bought a couple of harem pants and colourful skirts from Jaipur. I am also quite fond of oxidised and silver jewellery, and Jaipur is a hub for all of this. From chunky earrings to payals and other accessories, you find it all in Jaipur.”

She adds, “Whenever Eid is around or any celebration or wedding is coming up in our family, I am the one who picks up outfits for each and everyone in the family. Designing and picking up clothes or jewellery is something which totally my game. Honestly, I am not a brand-conscious person. I will be the last person walking into a mall and shopping. I would rather go street shopping and pick up a bundle of cloth, get some kapda cut and get a kurti or a one-piece stitched for myself. Malls mujhe sirf tab jana padta hai jab mujhe Shoaib (Dipika’s husband) ke liye denims khareedne hote hain.”
