JAIPUR: In order to give a clear message on cleanliness, the Jaipur division of north western railways(NWR) initited an innovative idea on Thursday.
Several children of scouts and guides gathered outside a wall near the exit gate of platform no 1 and first cleaned the walls and later painted them.
The kids were accompanied with Anjali Goyal, divisional railway manager and other senior officials of the NWR.
"People have been using these walls for throwing garbage. So, rather than getting into any kind of confrontation the kids and our men cleaned the walls and made beautiful paintings," said Goyal.
He said that while celebrating 'Railyatri Pakhwada' the Jaipur division had already launnched a cleanliness drive. "I think when people will see these kids working hard and contributing in making Jaipur railway station a neat and clean station they too will support the cause and cooperate."an officer said.
