Uttarakhand recover from poor start to post 228-5 against Rajasthan

Jaipur: Kunal Chandela hit a fighting 89 while Swapnil Singh slammed an unbeaten 69 as Uttarakhand recovered from a poor start to post 228-5 against Rajasthan on the opening day of their Elite Group E Ranji Trophy match, according to information received from Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. Rajasthan won the toss and chose to field first.Put in to bat, Uttarakhand lost their opener and skipper Jay Bista cheaply. Kamal Singh (25) also failed to convert his start. Right-handed Kunal took charge of the proceedings and was never short on confidence. Earlier in the morning, Rajasthan medium pacers Aniket Choudhary and Kamlesh Nagarkoti zipped the ball around under helpful conditions.
