Jaipur: Union sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya will come to Jaipur next month to watch the prestigious I-League match at the Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium.
KK Tak, chairman of the league's Rajasthan team -- Rajasthan United Football Club -- met Mansukh Mandaviya in Delhi on Tuesday and invited him as the chief guest for the match between RUFC and Gokulam Kerala to be held on March 9.
On this occasion, Rajasthan Football Association general secretary Dilip Singh Shekhawat and women wing chairperson Roshni Tak were also present.
Rajasthan United FC, which emerged as a giant-killer by defeating big teams in the I-League so far, is currently at the fifth position in the league table with 24 points from 16 matches.
KK Tak said that during the meeting with the sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya, a discussion was held regarding promoting football in Rajasthan. He said that Mandaviya has also accepted the invitation for the match to be held on March 9.
