JAIPUR: Two policemen, including SHO of Chechat police station, were suspended, while other staff were sent to Reserve Police Lines as tension prevailed in Kota rural on Friday after murder of constable Maya Yadav in police quarters.
Constable Deshraj and cook Tulsiram, accused in murder case, have been sent to police remand till Monday.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot ordered the replacement of the entire police station staff on Friday .

He also announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family members of the deceased. He also assured a government job to one of the family members.
At least six policemen sustained injuries after agitators turned violent and pelted stones on policemen demanding immediate action over the alleged murder of a woman constable and suspension of entire staff of Chechat police station on Thursday.
Late on Wednesday night, constable Maya Yadav went to her quarters inside the police station premises
after duty.
However, she did not come to office on Thursday and when a colleague went to inquire, her body was found lying in a pool of blood. When the villagers came to know about the incident, they gathered at the police station and pelted stones on them.
SP Kota (rural) Ravikant Mittal said both the accused were produced in court and sent to police remand till October 4. He said departmental inquiry has been ordered in the case.
