Two arrested for murder of Ummar, both are robbers

ALWAR: Police on Monday arrested two persons for the murder of

Ummar Khan

, who was allegedly attacked by

cow vigilantes

on Friday. One of the arrested persons was detained for the crime on Sunday. Rahul Prakash, SP

, announced the arrest of

Bhagwan Singh

and Ramveer, both residents of

Markapur

near

Govindgarh

in the district.

"The duo's interrogation has revealed that four more persons are involved in the crime. We have formed three teams, which are on their trail," Prakash said. Police sources said those involved in the crime are part of a gang of robbers who pose as cow vigilantes and put up barricades on highways. The engine of the van that Ummar and two others were travelling in was found to be missing, as were two of the vehicle's wheels and other parts.
