Tractor with illegally mined stones hits bike, 2 students die

Jaipur: Two students died on the spot, while another sustained serious injuries after a tractor carrying illegally mined stones hit their bike as they were returning home from school.The tragic incident took place near Gothda village in the Redvas Gram Panchayat of the Badliyasar police station in Bhilwara district on Thursday. The deceased have been identified as Devraj, son of Bhagwan Jat, and Bhagchand, son of Devilal Jat, both residents of Baliakheda. Rahul, son of Sitaram Suthar, also a resident of Baliakheda, was injured and is currently receiving medical treatment. A police official said, "The bodies of the deceased have been kept at Kotadi Hospital for post-mortem."The incident has plunged the entire village into mourning, as both of the deceased children were the sole children of their respective families. This tragedy has also ignited anger among the villagers, who have long voiced concerns about the rampant illegal stone and gravel mining activities in the area. They are accusing tractor operators of recklessly speeding through the village streets without any consideration for safety.In the aftermath of the incident, villagers expressed their outrage and accused the government and local administration of turning a blind eye to the widespread illegal mining of stone and gravel in the region. They claimed that despite numerous complaints to the police, no action has been taken against the tractor operators who frequently engage in reckless driving through the village streets.
